In graphic designing there are a lot of factors to consider, but what I always do is to make the message clear and clean. Hierarchy and balance are the principles that I usually follow within my designs and unity of colors as well.
Usually the most difficult part in designing is the mix-and-match of colors. A good choice of color reflects a good design and it is a must to know the meaning of every color in color theory.
When it comes to typography, always take note of the rule: maximum of 3 font types in the design and always consider the unity as a whole. Choose typography that will fit in your design project. Make it simple and readable.
